Neil Sperry - Neil
Sperry's Complete Guide to Texas Gardening!
Neil Sperry has
be synonymous with Texas gardening since 1970. He has
broadcast over
KRLD (1080 AM) in the DFW
area since May 1980. You can hear his broadcast on
Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Neil
also owns and publishes Neil Sperry's Gardens Magazine.
He publishes an annual Texas Gardening Calendar which
features another of his loves, garden photography. His
"Neil Sperry's Complete Guide to texas Gardening, is the 4th
best selling gardening hardback in American History.
Neil has been
recognized by his peers. He was selected as American
Garden Communicator of the Year by the American Association
of Nurserymen. The Texas Cooperative Extension of
Texas A&M identified him as Man of the Year in Texas
Agriculture.

Howard Garrett
is a landscape architect by training, with extensive
experience in landscape contracting, greenhouse growing,
golf course planning and maintenance and organic product
development. Howard has devoted his life to educating the
public on organic and natural landscaping, gardening,
farming, ranching, and basic land management.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Park
Administration and Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech
University in 1969. After a stint in the U.S. Marine Corps
Reserve, Howard started his business career at Club
Corporation of America in Farmers Branch, Texas where he was
a laborer and assistant golf course superintendant. He is
now a registered landscape architect, ISA certified
arborist, horticulturist, broadcaster, photographer and
writer.
